Chirotherapie

Chirupractic therapy is healing with hands. You try to release blockages with small, targeted movements and without much effort. The aim is to take pressure off nerve tracts and to make joints and muscles freely mobile again. The patient is often immediately pain-free.
Common causes of blockages:
  • causes
Heavy lifting Prolonged awkward staying in one position Sudden wrong movement Accident, for example whiplash Lack of exercise and muscle weakness
  • application areas

chiropractic treatment

We offer chiropractic therapies in our practice. Chiropractic is healing with hands. Blockages are released in a gentle manner by means of targeted, minimal movements without physical exertion. The aim is to take the pressure off the nerve tracts and thus make muscles and joints freely mobile. In most cases, the patient is pain-free after the first treatment and no follow-up treatment is required. In order to learn holistic chiropractic and manual joint therapy, special further training must be completed. This further training, which orthopaedists also have to go through, lasts several semesters and ends with extensive theoretical and practical examinations. Only then does the therapist receive the certificate as a chiropractor. Chirotherapy is assigned to alternative medical treatment methods. If the therapist is a doctor with the additional training already mentioned, the statutory health insurance companies will cover the costs for the alternative healing method.

Proven for centuries

Chiropractic therapies have been used since ancient times. Hippocrates (Greece) and Galenus (Rome), both considered physicians and teachers, described practices in which therapeutic effects could be achieved with bare hands. At that time it was already assumed that a number of non-orthopaedic diseases were caused by the misalignment of vertebral bodies. This thesis has been confirmed more and more over the centuries. It has been known since the 19th century at the latest that even different forms of headaches or tinnitus can be caused by a blockage. This is where chirotherapy comes in, removing the blockages on the one hand and the resulting pain on the other.

Five different techniques are used in modern chiropractic:

- Adjustment: manipulations aimed at relieving subluxations in the spine and thus removing the pressure on the spinal nerves or spinal cord. This technique is used, for example, for sciatica (sciatic irritation).

- Traction: The joint partners are pulled apart from each other. This leads to a reduction in pressure and relief of the joint capsule and thus to pain relief. Furthermore, the stretching power of the ligaments improves.

- Translatory gliding (mobilization): The parts of the joint are moved parallel to each other. In this way, lost joint play is restored.

- Soft tissue treatment: The musculature is lengthened through stretching and relaxation techniques so that undisturbed joint play is permitted.

- Reflex techniques: Muscle tension and pain perception are influenced by using nerve reflexes. This therapy can have a positive effect on the autonomic nervous system and even on cognitive areas.

Pain free in seconds

The causes of a blockage are just as diverse as the treatment options. Blockages can be triggered by lifting too heavy, making sudden wrong movements, staying in one position for too long, an accident, or lack of exercise.

We use chiropractic therapy for the following symptoms: acute back pain, blockages of individual vertebrae or joints, sciatic pain, cervical/thoracic spine syndrome, dizziness, headaches, lumbago, chest pain, groin pain, tinnitus and visual disturbances.

During a chiropractic treatment, the patient should be loose and relaxed. This only succeeds if a basis of trust has been created with the therapist. The certified chiropractors employed by us calmly explain the connections and intended actions. We have a lot of experience that we want to pass on to our patients. A chiropractic treatment can work wonders and the patient leaves our premises pain-free and with a smile.
